time out in Volgograd

I had a pleasant time in Volgograd - my much needed time out from the books. the journey was tiring - about 17 hours +/- but the weather there was lovely. my fellow Malaysians from Volgograd did a great job in hosting the 6th Malaysian Intervarsity Games.

well well, Jonas took part in atheletics...he could have done better, but there was no proper warm up because his event was rescheduled to an earlier time. SAD SAD.

We visited the Mamayev Kurgan, the largest standing sculpture in the world. It is in the middle of the memorial park commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad. very impressive.

now i am back here in Nizhny Novgorod. it is great to be back. this is like my home and my roomies and groupies are like my family. *feeling the love*
