After 3 relaxing nights in Florence, we left for Rome. Rome was simply captivating! I guess only my pictures can describe a little about how amazing and captivating Rome truly was. We spent 4 amazing days there and during those times we visited many places - cathedrals, palaces, buildings, ancient ruins and others.
Other famous ones are the Colloseum, Palatine Hill, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forums, Pantheon and famous squares such as Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Novona and Piazza del Popolo.

We also visited the Trevi Fountains. Tradition has it that throwing a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain guarantees a swift return to the world's most beautiful city.

I felt quite sad at the end of my journey because I really love Italy! It really motivates and inspires me – to see the works of great people before and now.
A desert of the trip – a day’s trip to Berlin. We had a one day transit in Berlin so we decided to take a look at the capital of Germany. Berlin is very advance – everything seems so high tech and modern. We went to one of the most historical landmarks in Berlin - the German Parliament building Reichstag. There’s a huge glass encasing at the top where the views of Berlin are impressive to say the least. Other places we managed to visit was the Berliner Dom Cathedral and Germany's most recognisable symbol, the Brandenburg Gate. Built in 1791, the Brandenburg Gate was modelled on the entrance to the Acropolis in Athens. The Quadriga statue on top of the Gate—designed by sculptor Gottfried Schadow—represents Victoria, the Goddess of Peace, riding a four-horse chariot. After walking around and eating the superb curry wurst, we went back to Berlin Tegel Airport where we spent the night there.

We flew to Moscow the next morning, reached in the evening and took the night train to Nizhny Novgorod.
I am quite sad that my trip is over but happy to start a new semester and meet my friends again. I was warmly welcomed by Jacy and her currently 6 KG cat, Valya. Fortunately, my class only starts tomorrow so I have enough time to unpack and clear my stuff. Now I am gearing up for the new semester!
